My time working abroad has taught me to not just operate in these countries, but to truly understand their unique business cultures,
North America (U.S. & Mexico):
I specialize in providing practical support on financial and operational management for large-scale international projects, having served as a key senior team member within the International Division. A core competency is training Project staff on essential reporting, ensuring full compliance with financial rules through the effective use of tools like the Budget Tracking Sheet and Monthly Financial Status Report.
Africa (Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, Madagascar, Nigeria, South Sudan):
My background is built on establishing and managing robust financial and administrative frameworks for complex international projects. This expertise spans the full project lifecycle, including providing training on Financial Cycle Overview and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations. I excel at operationalizing finance, setting up the computerized accounting systems, finalizing project and regional Finance Manuals, and ensuring projects are audit-ready at all times.
Furthermore, my leadership extends to administrative systems development, covering everything from operations manuals, procurement setups (POs, RFPs) and fleet management, to inventory control and establishing comprehensive travel and HR systems, including the creation of the Local Hire Manual Guidelines and necessary HR forms. My experience also covers full Partner Management, including subgrant selection and monitoring.
Middle East (Egypt, Yemen):
I provided leadership and managed finances across various global markets, handling complex local rules along the way. My main strength is building and managing strong business systems from creating budgets and financial reports to ensuring everything follows the rules. I developed key resources like the Local Hire Manual, HR guidelines, and Procurement Plans, and I trained staff on tools like the Budget Tracking Sheet. Beyond finance, I modernized our HR systems by developing a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and established fleet management protocols to track and maintain company vehicles. I also supervised the IT department to ensure our technology was secure and efficient. This comprehensive oversight ensures that all audits are on time, rules are followed, and grants, technology, and administrative tasks are managed accurately.
Asia-Pacific (Indonesia):
I created and finalized crucial documents, including the Financial and Operation Procedures Manual for the Jakarta Office and a separate Regional Offices Financial Procedures Manual. Furthermore, I established all necessary Administrative and Financial Procedures, developed the Chart of Accounts, and installed and customized the accounting system, providing extensive training to the Finance, Operations and Procurement teams. This development extended to creating robust supporting systems, such as a full Human Resource system with all related forms (e.g., payroll tracking), an Inventory control system for non-expendable assets, and a specialized vehicle usage control system.
